Community Development Coordinator – Acorn2Oak

As a community development coordinator at Acorn2Oak, I had the opportunity to create programs to support diverse communities physically, mentally, and intellectually. Program development was based on community research and available resources analysis. Once the programs were implemented, I put into practice group facilitation theory and focused on applying social service-helping skills to build rapport with our clients.

Volunteer Coordinator – Fundraiser Planner

I have volunteered at Sunningdale Public School, Oakville for over 6 years. I have worked closely with the administration staff, families, and children. I have been an active member of the community by participating in event planning and running a team of over 50 volunteers, including parents/guardians and students. Over the years I have built a reliable and enthusiastic group of volunteers to support the school initiatives. We have created a culture of raising funds while building community.
